Requirements for Pakistani Marriage in Indonesia

If you are a Pakistani citizen planning to marry an Indonesian national, the following documents are required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC):

1. Documents Required from the Groom (Pakistani Citizen):

  • Original Willingness Letter (Personal Statement).
  • Affidavit from Father (or Legal Guardian):
    • Confirming unmarried status and permission for marriage, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Islamabad, or camp offices in provincial capitals.
    • If the father is deceased, provide an affidavit from the mother along with the fatherโ€™s death certificate (attested by MOFA).
    • If both parents are deceased, death certificates for both and an affidavit from the elder sibling, if applicable, attested by MOFA.
  • Family Documents:
    • CNIC of parents or family certificate.
  • Groom's Identity Documents:
    • Original and photocopy of CNIC/NICOP.
    • Valid Pakistani passport.
    • Indonesian visa or stay permit.
  • Police Character Certificate:
    • Issued in Pakistan and attested by MOFA.
  • Unmarried Status Certificate (if applicable):
    • Certificate from the Union Council confirming unmarried status, attested by MOFA.
  • For Second Marriages (if applicable):
    • Permission letter/affidavit from the first wife and marriage certificate attested by MOFA.
    • OR Divorce certificate (original and attested by MOFA).
    • OR Death certificate of the late wife (original and attested by MOFA).

2. Documents Required from the Bride (Indonesian Citizen):

  • Original Willingness Letter (Personal Statement):
    • Notarized by the Notary Public in the brideโ€™s city of residence (as per her NIK) and Apostilled by Kementerian Hukum dan HAM (Ministry of Law and Human Rights).
  • Permission Letter from Parents:
    • Notarized by the Notary Public in their city of residence (as per NIK) and Apostilled by Kementerian Hukum dan HAM.
    • If parents are deceased, provide death certificates and an affidavit from the elder sibling (Apostilled).
  • Family Documents:
    • Family registration card (Kartu Keluarga) and NIK of parents.
  • Bride's Identity Documents:
    • Copy of the girlโ€™s identity card (KTP).
  • Marriage-Related Clearance:
    • Original and copy of Surat Keterangan Untuk Nikah issued by RT, RW, Kelurahan, and KUA (Form N1).
  • For Second Marriages (if applicable):
    • Divorce certificate or death certificate of the late husband (Apostilled by Kementerian Hukum dan HAM).

3. Presence of Both Groom and Bride

  • Both must be physically present for the application process.

Important Notes:

  • Affidavits, unmarried certificates, and other permissions/letters must be issued no more than 4 months before submission to the Embassy. Documents older than 4 months will not be accepted.
